The Chilean Volunteers Network held a session of its School of Citizenship at ColungaHUB, which on this occasion focused on the dissemination of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The School of Citizenship is a training space that seeks people to acquire knowledge and practical tools, which will lead them to be global citizens, with a critical and active stance in sustainable development, human rights and education for peace.
How can the 2030 Agenda be translated into organizations? For Camila Ponce, Coordinator of the generation Concause of America Solidaria and rapporteur of the School of Citizenship, the key is in training. "Today to raise this agenda, to make it our own, we need new global citizens for sustainable development, and see how we form from this new citizenship, how we think of ourselves as connected people based on local, national and also global challenges. ", Says the rapporteur.
The invitation is to "know the Agenda 2030, that we unite around it. The first step is to know it, spread it, and transform our daily life from habits ", concludes Camila Ponce.
The School of Citizenship The SDGs are aimed at the community in general, young people and adults, interested in the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2030 Agenda and volunteering. The next meetings will be held in Valparaíso (Thursday, June 7), Antofagasta (Tuesday, June 26) and Temuco (Thursday, August 9). More information in www.chilevoluntario.cl
