Various civil society organizations, belonging to childhood networks and ColungaHUB, were called by the Community of Solidarity Organizations to analyze the situation of children and adolescents in Chile. Through a public statement, they presented their position on the rejection of the Sename II report.
In the context of the recent rejection of the report of the Sename II Investigation Commission, civil society organizations that work mainly on issues related to children, came together to establish a position as a third sector, and coordinate common actions that put Chile's children and adolescents at the center of proposals for improvements in the system, and the changes that are required to guarantee its effective exercise of rights.
The organizations belonging to the Block for Children; the Community of Solidarity Organizations; the Network of Children and Youth NGOs (ROIJ); the Network Movilizándonos; the Chilean Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (ACTION); and members of ColungaHUB, among others, they generated a communication with technical proposals, where they declare their convictions and dispositions to advance in the changes that are required.
The statement was communicated on Wednesday, July 12, during a press point in front of the La Moneda palace, and aimed to call on all the actors of the society to unite for the children and adolescents of Chile.
