Opportunity: Apply to the School of Migrations of the Center COES and CLACSO and participate in a week of training in ColungaHUB

Until August 6 will be received applications to this school of intensive training at a postgraduate level in comparative and regional perspective, which will be held at ColungaHUB from September 25 to 29, 2017.

The Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), the Graduate Network and Migration Study Centers (MIGRARED), the Center for Conflict Studies and Social Cohesion (COES) and the Interdisciplinary Program for Migration Studies (PRIEM) call for advanced students of master's or doctorate, responsible for public policies and referents of social organizations of Latin America and the Caribbean to submit their applications to participate in the IV International Graduate School International migration, global policies and social inequalities: new scenarios from Latin America.

The Graduate Network and Migration Study Centers (MIGRARED) is one of the postgraduate thematic networks promoted by CLACSO through its Postgraduate Network. Previous editions had the support of the Center for Advanced University Studies (CAEU). The purpose of the networks is to articulate university graduate programs from various Ibero-American and Caribbean countries on common themes, in order to strengthen and enrich the training in the area.

The objectives of the School are:
• Reflect on the construction of the field of studies of international migration in Latin America
and the contributions that this has to the international debate.
• Explore the relationship between the State, migration policies and globalization and discuss the different approaches
policies in relation to migration and mobility.
• Reflect on theoretical and methodological debates in the field of migration studies.
• Incorporate and / or discuss theoretical and methodological approaches in the research projects that the
students are doing.

Opportunity for members of ColungaHUB

From September 25 to 29, 2017 the classroom week of this course will take place, in units of ColungaHUB, so there are four places available and free for members of the Colunga Network, which are accepted after the selection process .
