A meeting to reflect on how social innovation has managed to contribute to the generation of new solutions in the field of early childhood, which arise from the community and civil society, was developed in the Seminar of Fundación Infancia Primero "Social Innovation at the Service of Early Childhood".
In this context, the "Crecer Jugando" program was presented, an initiative that has been supported by the Colunga Foundation since its creation in July 2014, and which was born from the Fundación Infancia Primero "Let's play with our children" program.
"Childhood is a pending challenge, so we wanted to show different innovative responses to that challenge. That is why we present the program we have together with Fundación Colunga, 'Crecer Jugando', which responds to the promotion and prevention of children's development, "says Magdalena Mongillo, Director of Children's Projects and Programs .
The seminar, held on Friday, November 25, at Fundación Telefónica, featured an exhibition by Alejandra Pizarro, executive director of the Community of Solidarity Organizations, and Conrad Von Igel, Director of the UC Social Innovation Center.
In addition, a Fair of social innovation initiatives where organizations and foundations participated, which, from different approaches, are working with early childhood. Among them is Casa del Encuentro; Crearte Corporation; Alma Foundation; One Time Foundation; Ideas for Children Foundation; Opportunity Foundation; Emprende Mamá program, among others.
