The School of Talent Development (EDT) is an initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEN) of the University of Chile, which seeks to identify talented young people from educational establishments with high vulnerability index, to support them in an intense program during their III and IV year, which allows them to access and cope with excellence all the demands and challenges of the university.

Since 2015, the Talent School has been supported by the Colunga Foundation through the Strengthening Fund and currently the EDT has 120 students in its program.

Testimonials of the students

Cristopher, Francisca, Nicole, Paulette and Moisés

Paulette Flowers, he entered the EDT in 2015 and is currently studying Pedagogy in General Basic Education at the University of Chile. "The EDT is a family that supports you for two years to enter the university, it is a preu that is not a preu, because what they help you most is to feel the university life, they guide you in the last years of high school "

Francisca López, he has been in the Talent School since 2014 and is now in the first year of the Baccalaureate in the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile. "The EDT is an opportunity, a unique opportunity that is not presented every day, a family. It gives you values, it gives you studies, it gives you a joy to come to classes, it motivates you to study, it gives you the tools to be able to emerge ".

Cristopher Bagensky He entered the Talent School last year and still does not know what career he wants to pursue. "I felt more comfortable than being in high school, because here all the people support themselves as a whole and as a family, they always motivate me to reach beyond my levels. In the first months it took a while to manage my time and then I took the rhythm and it was easier, in fact there are times when I come three or four times to the university ".

Nicole Aliaga He entered the School of Talent in 2014 and is now studying in the first year of Baccalaureate in the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile. "The EDT is an experience that filled me a lot as a person, it was difficult because there are contents that at school never named them. It's a very complete program, they took us to the theater, to concerts, to many places, they also presented all the other races, but here indestructible ties were also created ".

Moisés Espinoza is in the second year of Commercial Engineering at the University of Chile, and belongs to the first generation of graduates of the EDT. "Without the EDT I would not have been able to study, since in the school I was studying, the PSU average was 450 points, so it was impossible to enter the U if only I was preparing for high school. With time the EDT has been perfected and now I am a tutor, to the new students I advise you to be encouraged and that even if you see a very large wall, never give up ".
