Cable Room to Art It is an artistic space of the Colunga Foundation, together with the cultural management group Arteurbano, which aims to make visible the social issues from another point of view.
In this new expo, Aldea Foundation presents "Sueño con un lago", a fragment of the participatory process developed by children of the "Última Hora" population in the Pincoya, who shared their dreams about the new use that will be given to a site that will be turned into a public park.
Through drawing, collage and sculpture, this artistic show generates a break in adult hegemony by revealing the political participation of girls and boys in making decisions about issues that affect their lives.
"We, as Aldea Foundation, are very interested in protecting the progressive autonomy of boys and girls because they have the right to express their opinions, to participate, and it is they who expressed their ideas through these works of art", highlights Andrés Soffia of Aldea Foundation. And he emphasizes: "What we wanted to do is to transform this space into a political space, art is to do politics. This art gallery is given to children so that they can exhibit their project, transform themselves into actors that generate change and dream of a different country. "
The sample will be throughout the month of April. You can visit it from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 19:00 hours at Av. Bustamante 26, Providencia.
