In an alliance with University of Concepción, AboutNews Y SocialB, Fundación Colunga started the improvement process of the initiatives selected by the Colunga Strengthening Fund, which this year had a special call.
"We decided to bet on the Biobío Region for two variables. On the one hand, because of the concentration of opportunities that we see in this region, but which also have very hard indicators. It has the second concentration of population living in poverty throughout the country, so we feel it can be a very good laboratory for social innovation. And with the partnerships we have managed to articulate we can make a great contribution, not only in the Biobío Region, but from the Biobío to the country, "he explained. Arturo Celedón, Executive Director of the Colunga Foundation.
The main purpose is to support civil society organizations to implement improvements in the design and management of their programs in order to optimize standards, advance the quality of their projects and enhance the impact of their interventions.
The improvement process will focus on the review of the diagnoses, the theories of change and routes of scaling of the projects. In the final stage they can move to an investment table, where two or three initiatives will be supported and implemented in the field.
