After a month of incubation, the 20 finalists announced their solutions that seek to improve the perception of public safety in the neighborhoods of the country in an Exhibition in the Plaza de la Constitución. Six are the winning solutions that will start your piloting in communes of the country.

Since its launch in the month of June, Impacts Security, call carried out by the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security, in partnership with the Government Laboratory, sought ideas that address the issue of public safety in the neighborhoods of the country. The initiative has counted on the work and support of the Chilean entrepreneurs in the search for innovations that seek solutions for this key challenge for the country, in a process that included public and private actors.

After a successful period of application, where 201 ideas were received from different places in Chile, 20 were selected to work on a Bootcamp or accelerated incubation, where for a month, the teams could count on the technical support of public institutions and private, as well as the methodological support of the Government Laboratory and joint co-creation with citizens.

On Thursday, October 26, the Bootcamp came to an end and the six winning teams were announced. This teams $ 75 million were awarded to pilot their solutions in the communes -Valparaíso, Coquimbo, Rancagua, Lo Barnechea, Pudahuel and Huechuraba- and thus become public policies around public security in Chile.

"For each of the two challenges we have solutions that will not only generate impact in the six municipalities where they will be implemented, but also solutions designed to replicate them so that they serve the 346 communes of Chile," said Juan Felipe López, Executive Director of the Government Laboratory.
